New Rings!! Just for fun!!

Hi there! One of the things I have been doing lately was to make some more rings after I sold a whole heap of them at reduced prices! Some with beads some without!

Recently I was asked to make up a wire work frame for a small photo that a bride wants to carry with her on her wedding day. Using Artistic silverplate wire - 16 gauge I made the frame with 22g and 24g for the wrapping. The beads are small 3mm clear and purple crystal bicones and larger 6mm bicone clear lilac crystals.

Well I haven't posted anything for ages!! Time flys when you're having fun! Well not really have I been having fun - stuck at home with my broken ankle ... 9 weeks now and only last week allowed to put a little weight on my foot. Feels quick strange to walk with 2 feet - I had gotten so used to hopping around with a walking frame that I sometimes revert back to it! Got a big black boot on and still using the frame. Have been making some jewellery but have been so tired. Taking a while but hopefully not too long before I am bit more normal! Well that's way too much whining!

I have been selling off lots of my spare beads and findings so that has kept me very busy!

Here are some new pieces I have made in the last months.

A Couple of New Wirework Pendants

Here are a couple of the wirework pendants I have been making recently.

Artistic Non-tarnish copper wire wrapped with silverplated wire

and using small mauve bi-cone beads with a purple speckle beads as the focal.

Artistic brass and black wire using black AB faceted oval beads.

Oh dear!!!

Well just when I thought I was getting a bit more organised what should happen?? I have a fall and break my ankle - both bones - and spend 4 days in hospital after having surgery to fix it! 2 screws on one side and and a plate and 4 screws on the other!

I am hopping around using a walking frame. Very slow and labourious! I have just got a wheelchair so I can do a bit more and have a little more independence.

Some people suggested while I had my feet up I could make more jewellery ... not so ... the first week home I could barely bring myself to do anything - didn't even open my laptop some days!

However it is getting better although 3-4 weeks before I have the cast off . Wierd to think I have all that metal in me.

This week I have got back into it a bit and been making some more wirewrapped and wireworked pendants. Here are a few.

Ocean Jasper wrapped with Artistic Non-tarnish silverplate wire.

Sea glass from Norfolk Island wrapped in Artistic Non-tarnish silverplate wire.

Angular clear glass beads, turquoise and copper coloured glass beads wrapped with Artisitic Non-tarnish brass wire.

Antique silver filigree cross wrapped with Artistic Non-tarnish wire with a metallic faceted glass bead in the centre.

Yellow turquoise stone wrapped with Artistic square brass wire and black coloured wire.

Have a look at this set that I made this afternoon while I was watching Julia Gillard's speech. A 'bird's nest' with matching earrings. I used light blue foil beads and Artistic silverplate wire.

Nice aren't they?

Well tomorrow we are off to see hubbie's family who are visiting from FNQ and the newest addition - a baby girl called Emily. Been to Pumpkin Patch to find something cute. I could spend so much money in there if I had more grandkids - esp. girls. The clothes are gorgeous!

It's going to be 38degrees - that's hot!!! I will take some pics.

The saga with my eyes - behaved badly again today so a new script is warranted - so new glasses ordered. Hope it will help me to see a bit clearer!

Updates

Just updated my facebook 'Welcome' page. Added new pics, changed the info, resized the print so it is easier to read and less waffle. Changed the colours - might do that here too. Hmmmm ... another day.
do you have a 'Welcome' page on your facebook page? It's great idea and relatively easy to do using pagemodo - there is a link at the bottom of the welcome. Just write something a bit different in it as to what is in your 'info' page. Some pics, some anecdotes about you, location etc.
